Abstract
Objective : This study introduced Ruler Drop Test and reaction speed application that can measure normal adults¡¯ hand reaction speed without using a special test tool, and aimed to identify the correlation with the results of Box and Block Test whose reliability and validity have been proven.

Methods : For research method, Box and Block (BBT), Ruler Drop Test, and reaction speed application test were conducted on 273 normal adults aging from 20s to 70s or older. To reduce the error of Ruler Drop Test due to the declined power of individual¡¯s hand command, only the adults who belonged to the normal range were selected by the Jamar command power assessment. The collected data was analyzed using Windows SPSS 18.0 program.

Results : There was a significant correlation among Box and Block, Ruler Drop Test, and reaction speed application.

Conclusion : This shows that Ruler Drop Test and reaction speed application test that are not restricted by the time consumed and tool needed to carry out the test can simply measure the hand reaction speed of normal adults; they are also considered to be helpful for suggesting objective data of hand reaction speed.
